Chêne-Bougeries

Temple de Chêne-Bougeries

From the front, the temple in Chêne-Bougeries seems submerged by a wave of gentleness; the elegant pediment looks like a comforting pontoon; and the blue and gold clock seems to reflect the sky and the sun. The bell, which dates back to 1758, calls for people to gather together, and the temple's whole construction is indeed centred on that concept. The place of worship, with its elliptic shape, its austere oval interior, and its amphitheatre-shaped benches that circle the pulpit, has been built without divisions, like a symbol of unity, of a community in harmony...

Collège Claparède

Named after the famous Geneva neurologist and psychologist who in 1912 founded the School of Education and Sciences, the Claparède College got its first blackboards in 1974. Open to the introduction of culture in its syllabus, it was one of three schools in the canton to propose music as an option. Nestled in the Geneva countryside, the quiet-yet-dynamic college will host a long choreographic break for the duration of an evening.
