Founded in 1958 by the comedian and producer François Simon, the Théâtre de Carouge (located at 39, rue Ancienne) houses a 446-seat venue, which welcomes original creations as well as great plays from the classic repertoire. With Jean Liermier at the helm since 2008, the theatre's popular-yet-challenging programme fosters theatrical experiences that question the foundations of our modern societies while keeping intact the entertainment value of the show.
